Part 3Now consider and discuss the following in your journal add your response to the Facebook group (Will post later):
  1. Define your school community. i think our school is very easy going and laid back, we have a very accepting atmosphere compared to most schools, and for the most part people can be who they are with out people being mean about it.
  2. What do you value about your school community?i value everything i just said and more i like that our school focuses on our artistic talents and we get the chance to explore the arts and be who we are.
  3. Why does art matter? like jr said art may not completely change the world but it changes the way we look at it, and i agree with it. art changes our perspective its also a way of saying a message and exressing how we feel, and its also looks cool and is fun.,
  4. How would you express this visually? i didnt quite understand what this question ment how do express what??
PART ONE

What was the initial intention of JR’s first installation project? Was it effective? Why or why not? Give examples of his work and explain its impact on the community.

i think it was to show how we are people

it was because it tricked peoples minds who were so against one thing into showing them to be more open minded
like when he put the picture of a palistinian and a isrealy {who normaly dont agree with each other} beside each other in each country and people couldnt tell whos who and it made you kind of open your mind to the fact were all people.

Select an image, or series that impacted you, explain how it has impacted you and the community that it was created for.

i thought this one was super interesting becuase each man is a different race and each race is not a fan of each other and beause you cant tell which is which it shows that we are all human

this one was done in india and i thought it was cool is because if they just plastered the photos up people would have gotten mad and they could have gotten arrested, so they got special paper and because india is so dusty the pictyure only shows up when dust or powder sticks to it.

How does JR’s art make a difference? Site a specific series and specific images. Explain the reason for the images and potential impact that it has on the community.

i think the two series i posted were very interesting and really impacted the comunity especially the first one.
