1.Describe the piece.
well this piece doesnt involve photography and is mainly a design piece, looks like a old letter sign for a autobody shop. mainly focuses on text and design and uses it to convey the concept.

2.What do you think Ken Lum is trying to communicate?
People often don't express there sexuality so openly, because their afraid of people may treat them. and ken lum is like overexagerating his point to make more of a statement. and some people make a huge deal about comeing out of the closet and he could also be saying it doesnt have to be such a big deal. he is mainly focusing on teh issue of homosexuality and sexuality.

3.How does it explore race, culture, language, class, and/or identity?
Well hes gay and in most society's and culture its not the most acceptable thing and in some it can be considered a bad thing, and also he could be showing that hes found his identity.

4.Define conceptualism, how is this work a conceptual piece?
The meaning or message behind a piece of work or art. so like the deeper meaning, or reason for doign a piece or what your trying to convey through something, it could also be included as a theme. this piece is conceptual in it has a deeper meaning, and the concept focuses on homosexuality and personal identification.
